Hi, my name is TOMMY and I’m from Taranaki, NZ.

I started surfing when I was about 3 or 4 years old with my Dad.

I was born on 27 January 2003.

I’m a natural footer.

My magic stick is THE ELITE 5′ 11″ x 18 15/16″ at 29.6L, a replica Gav made for Michel Bourez in 1-DA Epoxy technology.

My training ground is Oakura Beach.

My favourite wave is Stent Road.

My favourite manoeuvre is a layback hack.

My favourite foods are fish and steak.

The most important people in my life are my family.

My philosophy on life is “Go hard or go home.

I couldn’t live without the ocean.

My career highlights include:

  • The youngest surfer to make the Open Men National Final in NZ Surfing history at 15 years old.

Recent highlights include:

  • 1-DA‘s ‘Free Radical’ surfer;
  • 1st, 2023 O’Neill Kaikōura Coldwater Classic, Open;
  • 5th, 2022 NZ National Titles, Open;
  • 1st, 2022 Hurley Club Championships, Expression Session;
  • 3rd, 2022 Hurley National Club Championships, part of the New Plymouth Boardriders Club.
