Description

The FISH was created with my 1-DA Community Members. They shared their feedback on their challenges and frustrations when it came to Fish surfboards, and I overcame that through my design work. No more bogging rails or skatey feeling on Fish boards.

Check out our design…

Specialising in high performance surfboards since 1996, I couldn’t help myself but incorporate some performance elements to this traditional design.

This FISH is proven to be FUN and FAST, and loves the BARREL too!

Check out how it performs …

While we tested the FISH, we also tested fins. We found the Futures EN Twin Fins really complimented this board’s characteristics.

I got the 5’9 fish from Gav and the team and what a dream come true, the fully polished custom green came out better then I had in my mind so was absolutely mind blown to see it when it turned up.

Performance wise: I truly think that this board can handle anything in any conditions, I have ridden it at beach breaks in knee to chest high swell and it is an all round well performing board, easy to paddle and catch waves in the smaller stuff and is a super mobile fun board, I have also ridden it in just over head high point breaks around here in taranaki which was also fun.

Caught my first little tuck in barrel on this board which made me fall for it more!

Hoping to ride it every surf this summer!! Super stoked with the 10/10 ride, 10/10 shaping of this board and 10/10 service through such tough times!! 😍😍

I got a 5’9” fish for my birthday and I love it. Before I got my new board, I was struggling to catch waves and turning once I got on them or having enough speed to avoid the break. But after getting my fish I’m catching more waves than what I know what to do with! And I’ve got the speed and buoyancy to move around better than ever. I’m so stoked about my new board 🙂

I have tried this board now in a range of conditions from 1 foot beachies to 2-3 foot hollow waves and can confirm you will have FUN on it! Surprisingly for a twin fin it holds in the tube really well and isn’t like your traditional twin where it’s hard to hold a line without sliding out. Highly recommend this to be an addition to any quiver! Thanks Gav!

  4. Abbey

The FISH is a great type of twin fin for fun in small to medium waves. It is extremely easy to paddle into waves and holds the rail very easily. It is a fast board that with the width is very forgiving for pop ups and not digging the nose. It’s a great board to bring variation in amongst my other high performance boards. This is my 5th custom board from Gav and once again he has exceeded expectations with his time spent listening to what I wanted and ensuring it was the perfect board for me.
