Description

The design of the little WARRIOR is based on the foamy Learn-To-Surf boards. It has a flat deck and beefed up rails providing stability which is great for beginners.

I see people do a learn to surf course for 2 or 3 weeks or over the course of a few weekends and get hooked on surfing, so they go to buy a mini mal … usually a high performance mini mal with a full rolled deck as that seems to be the majority of what’s available in the market for beginners. They then lose interest in surfing because the boards are too high performance for their ability. I wanted to create a board maintaining the learner-board characteristics of a flat deck and thicker rails to keep the stoke for the beginner surfers.” Gav

But the little WARRIOR isn’t just for beginners. It’s also great for the intermediate and advanced mal riders, for when the waves are waist height and under, it has enough floatation without having to throw around all the volume and length of a 9 foot mal.

*Inlayz extra.

  1. From a stoked Steve

Wow, what a wonderful experience to deal with Gav and Nikki. Gav is such a first class shaper and Nikki’s communication throughout the process was just brilliant.
I purchased a custom 8’0” round and it’s performing amazingly.
I was after an emotional attachment to my board. A little 60’s retro along with modern day. Gav was so understanding of my design request. What I got exceeded my expectations. Perfect size, feel, float and wow the look is so amazing just a beautiful finish.
Thanks so much to the whole 1-DA family. They have reinvigorated my passion for catching waves.
So do ya self a favour and get in contact with 1-DA Shapes.

I’m so happy with my custom Little Warrior, with Gavs wisdom we were able to make a few modifications to the stock model to suit my needs. It can be set up as a single fin or a tri fin and is super fun both ways. It is really cruisy on the smaller days when set up as a single fin. It flies when set up as a tri fin and easily gets through the flat and fat sections of waves. Totally recommend to anyone.

Love my board, it’s the best 🙂 Great customer service from start to finish and I got exactly what I had imagined when I first decided to get a board made. Would def recommend!
