CONGRATULATIONS to @jrodnz taking out 🥇 the 30+ Mens division at the Te Kaika 2024 South Island Surfing Championships with a very convincing 16.30 total in the final, finishing 5.8 points clear of 2nd place.
And just to top it off, JRod’s 16.3 total wave score and 8.5 single wave score in the final were the highest of the division. JRod was also the only surfer in the division to post any single wave scores over 7 points, and he did it 3 times!!!

“Koa absolutely loves it, spray job is so cool!. He has had quite a few surfs on it now from shitty small waves to pumping big waves, on the points and beachies and east coast beaches also. The board has improved his surfing from the first time he rode it. He gelled with it straight away. I asked him what his thoughts on it were and this is what he said ... he loves it, is really fast and easy to get speed, better doing forehand cutties, and awesome on his back hand. I have noticed all these things watching him. You really see how the board is so much more refined in the more critical parts of the wave making both forehand and back turns more critical.
